Outdoor and semi-outdoor concrete has different demands than an enclosed garage. Sunlight, rain, humidity, wet shoes, sand, drainage, temperature changes, furniture, and cleaning all affect which system and texture may be appropriate.
Not every indoor garage product is intended for exterior exposure. Ask whether the proposed primer, body coat, color coat, and clear coat are suitable for the location, and whether the manufacturer allows the system in direct sunlight or wet-service areas.
Texture deserves special attention. A smoother finish may be easier to mop, while a more textured finish can improve footing but may hold more dirt. The right balance depends on exposure, drainage, footwear, and maintenance expectations.
